Obituary of Philip Watson

Please share a memory of Philip to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heartfelt regret, that we announce the sudden passing of Philip Leslie Watson on December 8th, 2023, at the QEII Hopspital, Halifax. Born in Victoria, BC on Feb.22,1966, he was the son of Dolores (Wheaton) Watson and the late Leslie ‘Les” Watson. Phil graduated from University Saint Anne in 1994 with a degree in French education as a second language. He enjoyed his teaching career, most of which was in Bridgewater, NS at the Jr/Sr high school where he taught French Immersion. He later went on to complete his masters. Proud of the years doing “Call to Remembrance” and all his students who participated. Sadly, due to illness, Phil could no longer do what he loved most. Even throughout his illness, he continued to have a fantastic sense of humor. The evil stare, (which some of his students will remember), and the many accents he did so well. Phil loved golfing at Olde Town. He enjoyed his Tim Hortons coffee and smokes. Phil is survived by his spouse Evelyn Cole (his common law spousal unit and/or Shnooy), Mother Dolores (Wheaton) Watson, sister Shelley (Bev), nephew Brady Fisher (Amy), niece Courtney Fisher (Tim) and great nieces Alexa and Raeya special friends Alain, Sav, Rene and many more. Also survived by aunts, uncles and extended family. There will be a Graveside Committal Service held at a later date in the Pembroke Cemetery, Pembroke. A special thank-you to Stewart and Kim and thank you to all the EMT's, Southshore Regional Hospital and the QEII. Donations can be made to the MS Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter. “LOVE YOU BABY, NIGHT” Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the JW Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215 Summerville (Phone 902-633-2431). Please visit their website at allenfh.ca if you wish to sign the guest book and/or send private condolences.
