Obituary of Tom Nunn

Nunn- Thomas Robert- 77 of Truro passed away Saturday November 2nd, at the QE11 Halifax with his family by his side. Born April 9th, 1942 in Summerville, Hants Co, he was the son of the late George and Sadie (Armstrong-Benedict) Nunn.

Tom worked for the Nova Scotia Dept. of Agriculture in Truro for 34 years and truly loved his work and the friendships he made at work. Tom was very well known in the agriculture sector, not only in Nova Scotia, but the Maritimes.

Tom enjoyed his family and came to Summerville every 2nd weekend for many years where he enjoyed seeing his sister Betty and her family. Tom is survived by his brothers Gordon (Margaret) Benedict, Summerville; Lawrence Nunn, Pembroke; Darrell Nunn, Summerville; Phillip Nunn, Newport; sisters, Gwendolyn Rourke, Falmouth; Betty (Gary) Lyon, Summerville; sisters-in-law  Linda Nunn (Milton),Centre Burlington and Ann Nunn, Bedford along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Delbert Nunn and John (Jack) Nunn, sister Linda in infancy, brother-in-law Lester Rourke, and nephew Robert Nunn.

Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
