I was so pleased that Kathy , mom (Barb Armstrong) and me could spend some time with Uncle Ray just 10 days before he passed. It was nice to reminisce and catch Ray up to date on all that's happened since we were in Nova Scitia last Ray will be missed. My fondest memories was when we all went to see Johnny Cash in the late 60's. You will be missed Uncle Ray. At least now you are with your mom, two brothers and many aunts uncles and aunts as well as Grampie Jack and Big Stan ❤️

No one could make my Dad (Whit Armstrong) laugh quite like Ray. His jokes were smart and always took you by surprise. Ray had a big heart and was one of the most wonderful people I ever knew. Rest in peace Uncle Ray, you will missed and will forever be in our hearts.

I remember Ray when he did the mail run at HMC Dock yard. He was always smiling and would chat with us at the Civilian Personnel Office. I often saw him at his favorite coffee shop - Tim Horton's. He was a dear soul. He is surely gone to heaven. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ray when I worked my very first job at Tim Horton's on Portland Street. He was a wonderful man, and I have thought of him often over the last 24 years. I am saddened at reading of his passing; he will not be forgotten.

Ray will be missed by Judy and myself. He gave his life to Jesus many years ago and we know he has gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour and his Mother, my Aunt Kay who is my Mother's sister. Ray can now shed his infirm body and rejoice in heaven. Love you Ray. John Harvey

I have many fond memories of my cousin Ray when he would come to Kempt Shore to visit. I always thought of Ray as more or an uncle than a cousin. My dad (Lorimer) shared many laughs with Ray and always had lots of stories to tell about something Ray had done. No matter what challenges Ray had, he never seemed to complain and was always a happy soul. May he rest in peace. xo
