Myself and Big Mike his friends called him.. we lived for about a year across a field from each other and also just across the highway was the horton High school. BIG MIKE wanted to try something fun and exciting... he wanted to try and go down the school grounds to the highway and across down into the trees, to his house on the lane next to mine were he lived... we planned if for over a week, people that new mike back then grade 9 I belive. He was getting excited to try it. And to see if he could beat the bus that drop us off, I got off the bus with mike most days, so I knew he made it home then I would cut through the field to my street Avon Lane in Greenwich. The weekend before I went into the woods across from the highway to see if Mike could make it through, there were a few spots that were to me for mike going to be a hard pass for him. But mike was so excited to try, something he would not be aloud to do.. so Friday that week he was going.. Paul you got to come with me man. I want to do this i want to prove that I am fun and do "apparently sketchy things, and who knows were down there will it pop out next to our roads" and that I am capable too.. so i went back day before a Thursday. cut a few branches down, and had a rope tied to a tree, to help us up a hill, and some what of a trail heading to the road.. we'll day came all Big Mike could think about was the sketchy trip across the highway, and no one but us knew about.. we do it, mikes takes off across the lawn me behind him, kids behind us, Mike you can't do that were you going. I was right behind him... we made it though. Right to his road. He was so happy. H3 said to me. " can you believe that man, what's then chances we had rope and found a path, someone has done that before, and we did it, I did it, I did he said" next week in school he was the talk in the school. Bad boy cuts off school and woods. And made it home. Faster then his bus... Great memories Big Mike, you were one of my best friends in school. Extremely sad I found out this way.. back in 2024 first of spring, we were talking online, and he was having a hard time, his place was getting fixed up for him. And money was tight, i sent him a transfer to help him out, he said thanks man so much, "I will pay you back" i said don't stress Mike I am not worried about it, no need to pay back, I few cupple mounts went by, we texted again, first thing he said was I have not forgotten about the loan gave me.. again i said mike no loan, don't worry, just wanted to know how your doing, he told me not great but for me not to worry, he will be fine. So time past I tried to reach out again a few weeks later. No answer from him.. then his Facebook was gone... I reached out again with my last option. I wrote mike talk to me man.. I never wanted the money back, i glade i could help, just talk to me man.. and now time has past so I tried Google him to see if he put up a new Facebook or something, and I found this page.. I am so sorry mike, I am so sorry for mikes family and friends, and so sorry that I thought even for a min, that he would stop talking to me because he felt he owed me money..breaks my heart. Nothing but love Big Mike... we were good friends all though school when we were in the same school... you have changed my life, how sick you were back then, and the limits that you had, me and you did things to pass them limits, and how you put your best into not letting your limits stop you, and I was glade and happy I was part of it.. and you will always be BIG MIKE to me. Even when we were in class and you were my little "Yoda" and how we pained things to get out of glass. And I help ya to make shots from the foul mark during gym..you took on the world back then, we got into trouble together that little Yoda got us out of.. the teachers could not help themselves when mike had the sad lip and puppy eyes... I miss you man the legend... My BIG MIKE.

Q: Did Michael have any pets?
A: Mike had a yellow lab named Jack. He was his best friend and companion. Mike absolutely loved animals and dog sat for us on many occasions. When he was in charge we traveled worry free because our dog fell deeply in love with him and didn’t seem to miss us at all. RIP Mike♥️

My sincere thoughts are with Michael's family. I remember when he and Karen were in hospital at the same time as Matthew and I. They were both very young... I have thought of him often through the years. Remember the hodge podge that Sheila made for us... Memories are a great to have - may you all treasure them and may he rest peacefully with no more pain...
