I wish to express my condolences to Reggie Clark's family and to his friends and neighbours in Walton. He was a true gentleman and was the keeper of much of the history and folklore of Walton and area. Reg was always interesting to chat with. He could recall and tell fascinating stories of past and present; of people and places dear to us. When we could no longer meet in person, he was a keen letter-writer sending us the news of his world with warmth and candor. Reggie was a friend and neighbor when I was growing up in Walton. He gave so much to the community with his art and his caring for the light house. Joy was my daughters God Mother. I was just thinking about Reggie the other day and wondering how he was doing. Then Estella sent me an email with the sad news. I will never forget him.

It is great sadness that Reggie has passed. There are many memories that I shared with our family with "Auntie Joy" and "Uncle Reggie" - from Christmases, driving the tractor, gathering hay, blueberries and clamming. Reggie let my sister and I do almost everything we wanted. Love when he used to take us on wheel barrel rides. He just laughed when I took of the barn door with his tractor! We also supported him getting his licence later in his life. After mom passed (Marjorie - Cousin - just after Joy), the family connection was not the same. I am glad that I was able to see Reggie again a few times over the last couple of years. He will be missed. Dad is now in a nursing home and sadly can not be there. Our family is spread all over. I am grateful to Peter for taking care of both Reggie and Joy over the years. Karen
