Obituary of Juanita Sanford

Sanford, Juanita Beatrice – 84 of Windsor; sadly, we announce the peaceful passing of Juanita on December 27th, 2023, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with family by her side. Born on April 8th, 1939, in Kempt Shore NS, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (McLellan) Parker. Juanita worked at Dykeland Lodge in Windsor NS for 19 years before retiring. Juanita enjoyed going to music jams, playing bingo, challenging herself with jigsaw and crossword puzzles and knitting. Her true joy came from spending time with her friends and family, especially with her great-grandchildren. Juanita is survived by daughters Nancy (Rod) Caldwell, Rose Sampson (Shawn); sons Dale Sampson, Perry (Linda) Sampson, Roger (Shelly) Sampson, Dennis Brothers, Ronald (Shirley) Parker, Royce (Mary) MaCellain; grandchildren Michael, Sheena, Josh, Megan, Shanalee, Amanda; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her mother, Juanita is predeceased by her husband Guy, sister Helena and brother-in-law Harold. A service will be held in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, at 2pm, Rev. Gail Dunn officiating.
