Obituary of Ada Burgess

Burgess, (Dooks) L. Ada-90 of Lower Burlington, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2023, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Jeddore on December 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Hugh and Katherine “Katie” (Bonn) Dooks. Ada was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed baking, tending her flower gardens, painting ceramics and collecting clocks. She especially loved visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the local Women’s Institute for many years. Along with her husband Earle, Ada enjoyed playing music with friends at many local events. Survived by Earle, her loving husband of 74 years; sons Arthur and Stephen (Rose), daughter Susan; Grandchildren: Tegan, Kris, Mavis, Jesse, Corey and Kallen; Great Grandchildren: Keenan, Makayla, Jack, Caelan, Navya and Ymir. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers: Gerald, Maynard, Hugh, Ralph, Robert, and Emerson; sisters: Velma, Lola and Mary. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the Hants Community Hospital for their compassionate care. There will be a private family service and burial at a later date.
