Obituary of Wendy White

Please share a memory of Wendy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
White (Royles), Wenda “Wendy” Leona Ellen – 68 of Walton, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro on October 13th, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth (Hines) Royles. Wendy held many different titles in her working career; she was certainly most proud of being a wife and a mother. She was employed by CN Rail and was one of the first females to be included on the Rail Gang and treated as one of the boys. Wendy also owned and operated her own restaurant and food truck, worked at Inland Plastics in Alberta, Crossley Carpets Factory in Truro and later retired from Chignecto Central Regional Centre School System as a custodian, then helped her husband own and operate a campground. Wendy is survived by husband Kevin, son Jeremy (Amanda), daughter Tracy; treated as a son, nephew Jody Withrow (Jessica); grandchildren Timothy and Jenna Burns; brother Malcolm (Lorraine) Royles; brother-in-law David (Pam) White); very special friend Nick Cameron along with many other family and friends. Besides her parents, Wendy is predeceased by sister Elaine, infant sister Brenda Lee, infant brother David and infant granddaughter Shelby. For those that knew Wendy, she had special love for all her small dogs; so in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wendy can be made to the SPCA. Respecting Wendy’s wishes, there will be a Private Family Graveside Committal Service held in the North Noel Road Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354, Kennetcook, ph-1-902-362-2440 or please visit our website at allenfh.ca to sign the guest book and send private condolences.
