Obituary of Donald "Donnie" Faulkner

Faulkner, Donald “Donnie” Burton – 86 of Noel, NS, passed away on March 20th, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Born in the Burntcoat Head Lighthouse on August 16th, 1936, he was the son of the late William “Bub” and Buelah (Ettinger) Faulkner. Donnie was a very hard worker; spending the majority of his working career employed with The Department of Highways. He was a kind selfless man, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Donnie will be forever remembered as a cheerful life of the party man that brought much joy to the people around him. Words of remembrance from Donnie’s private caregiver; Mary Barkhouse, “ It was a blessing to know such a kind gentle man. Donnie always looked on the positive & bright side of life.” Donnie is survived by wife Helen (Anthony) Faulkner of Noel, daughter Joy Faulkner of Noel, grandson Jeremy Faulkner of Noel, sisters, Alice Eddy of Truro, Nora Burgess of Saskatchewan. Besides his parents, Donnie Is predeceased by brothers Rueban, Leston, Ervin, Arthur and Jim, sisters Jennie Weir and Velma White. A service will be held on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023, at 2pm in the J Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Rev. Mike Poworoznyk officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at 502 Ettinger Rd, Kennetcook. A Private Family Burial will take place at a later date.
