Obituary of Leon MacNeil

MacNeil, Leon Gerard – 77 of Cheverie; It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leon early Saturday, December 11th, 2021, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on July 23rd, 1944, in Sydney Cape Breton he was the son to the late Neil and Julia MacNeil. Leon is survived by his loving wife Lyette (Renee), son Todd (Tracy) and daughters Sheri, Alana (Peter Geddes), five grandchildren: Brianna, Kyle, Alex, Marina and Reid, twin sister Leona (Peter Habib) and brother Gordon. Leon is predeceased by his first wife Barbara (Wry), brothers Roy, Robert and John. Leon was an avid reader, tinkerer, bargain hunter and dog lover. In his younger years he was a very resourceful hard worker and a dedicated loving family man and father. He had a contagious, boisterous laugh, quick sarcastic wit and loved to joke and tease. Leon will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his many friends and extended family. Donations in memory of Leon can be made to the Summerville Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Gladys Sanford.
