Blackburn, Gary Lewis – 78 of Windsor formerly of Brooklyn Hants county. passed away on April 25th, 2021 in the QEII Hospital, Halifax. Born in Windsor on January 2nd, 1943 he was the son to the late Leonard and Virginia (Mae) Blackburn.
Gary helped people all his life. As manager of the Victory Credit Union, he helped his community, and as a husband and father he provided his family with endless support, love and generosity. He loved watching sports on tv and was a big fan of the Leafs. He was gentle and kind to everyone he encountered. He will be dearly missed.
Gary leaves behind his children Crystal (John) Blackburn, Heather Blackburn and Michael (Carla) Blackburn, sisters Karen (Ralph) Warner and Cheryl (Dell) Church, grandchildren Zachary and Nathaniel.
Besides his parents Gary is predeceased by wife, Mary (Hale) Blackburn.
Cremation has taken place, a graveside committal service will be held at a later date in Newport Landing Cemetery, Avondale.
