Obituary of Cora Bruce

Bruce, Cora Vinetta – 94 of Walton passed away Saturday, October 24th, 2020 at her home in Walton. Born in Tenecape on September 1st, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Averett and Daisy (Ettinger) Huntley. Cora was a long-time resident of Walton where she enjoyed her work at the Post Office and volunteering at the Light House for many years. She also organized the Terry fox Run and helped the Noel Legion with their Poppy Campaign, as well as supporting many charities in the past. Cora was a member of the Tenecape United Church. Special thanks to Cora’s neighbours Sandra, Rhonda, Francis, Patsy, and nephew Ferry for being so kind and helpful to her over the last few years. Cora appreciated the help very much and her family is incredibly grateful. Thank you also to Dr. Cathryn Smith and Wanda for all they have done for many years. Cora was a loving mother and friend who will be missed greatly by her three sons Kenneth (Marion) of Upper Sackville, NS, Kendall (Sandi) of Wellington, NS and Kevin (Rebecca) of Lake Echo, NS, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by husband Aubrey, daughter Lynda Jean, brothers Maxwell, Vaughan, Clarence, Lester, and sister Evelyn. There will be a private family graveside service held at a later date. Rev.
