Obituary of Narda Matthews

Matthews, Narda Lee – 64 of Nine Mile River, passed away October 20th, 2020 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre surrounded by family. Born in Gormanville on June 9th, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Fulton and Clare (White) Harvey.
Narda worked as a Custodian at Hants North Rural High for many years. She always enjoyed watching the kids play sports, she was always known for ringing the bell when they won a game. Narda’s true passion in life was her family. She did many special things over the years with her great nephews. She was known as “Mom” to many of Dave’s friends over the years. The one thing she enjoyed most was watching Dave race, she was truly his number one fan. Dave and Bristol were her whole world.
She is survived by son Dave Matthews, granddaughter Bristol Matthews, special niece and nephew Neat and T.W.
Besides her parents, Narda is predeceased by husband Roger Matthews and brother Selly Harvey.
There will be a visitation on Monday, October 26th, 2020 in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook from 6 to 8pm. A graveside committal service will be held Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 at 2pm in the North Noel Rd Cemetery, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Social distancing will apply outside of your bubble. Please bring a chair if you wish to sit. Wearing a mask will be mandatory at the visitation inside the premises and is recommended at the graveside service.
