Jed was one of the funniest friendliest men a person could ever encountered. My first experience with Jed aka Mr. Henniger was when I decided to enroll in plumbing at Windsor Vocational School. Being one of the first females ever accepted to what they considered a man's trade. He used to joke how he would watch out if I wanted to slip into the boys washroom instead having to go upstairs. Becwill be greatly missed by everyone who knew. My heart goes out Shirley and the rest of the family.

I met Ged when I was a student at NSCC Windsor, I was in the Cosmetology program but had met Jed down stairs when getting Snacks for Mrs. Jackson sometimes in the afternoons. When I spoke to him for the first time he said to me OH My you must be a girl from Noel Road listen to that twang accent.lol I told him nope but close I live in Kennetcook but my Mom is from NNR. We shared many stories back and forth during my 2 years at School and then lots of stories in Kennetcook at the Grocery store as I worked there as well. Years later we always would meet up at Summertime Treats now and again as that’s where he liked to get a Treat for him & Shirley on their way to the old place. I thought of him the other day thinking that we haven’t met up this summer. Shirley & Laurie Ged will be missed by a lot of students & people everywhere he was an awesome fellow but you both know that too. I will never forget him & his stories laugh and awesome smile.

I will always remember his stories when I was in The Stadacona Military Hospital with a fractured neck in 1965. Ged used to visit me quite often and he would have the whole ward in tears by the time he left. He would tell me one (Lie) story after the other and of course everyone would hear every word. His cheerful visits made my stay a lot easier. Our Sincere, Heartfelt Condolences to Shirley and All of Ged's Family. Rest In peace Brother.
