Obituary of Herb Miller

Miller-Herbert Harold "Herb" 70, North Noel Road, passed away peacefully with family by his side in the Colchester East Hants Health Ct., Truro, N.S. On January 8, 2020. Born in North Noel Road he was a son of the late Harold and Reita (White) Miller. Herb was an avid race car fan, cheering on his nephews for many years, rarely missing a race. He loved the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Blue Jays. You could always find Herb at Findley Park rarely missing a game or practice and was named Hants North Baseball’s #1 fan. He enjoyed the jamborees and dances and in his younger years was a driver to as many that could fit in his car. He was a quiet man who would do anything for anyone, but if asked about a race or a ballgame he would always have a story. He is survived by his sisters Debra Dalrymple, Susan Miller, brothers Merlyn(Bonnie), Thomas (Frances), Stanley (Wanda) and Randall (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters Caroline White and Gwen MacPhee and brothers Vance and Ronald. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or service by Herb’s request. A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 on Saturday Jan. 11, 2020 in the Green Hall, North Noel Road with burial of ashes at a later date in Northfield Cemetery.
