Obituary of Juanita Gallant
Gallant- Juanita Phyllis- 89 of Dykeland Lodge, Windsor passed away peacefully in Dykeland Lodge, surrounded by family and friends on September 5th, 2019. Born January 15th, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Leta (Card) Young.
Juanita started her career as a dental assistant but later became an LPN which she did until she retired. She loved spending summers at her camp on the LaHave River with lifelong friends Walter and Clara Hiltz.
She is survived by sons Dana (Suzanne) Sanford (Aylesford) and Brian (Susan) Gallant (England) daughters: Wendy (Dan) Buckle (Sackville) and Beth (Terry) Harland (Sackville) grandchildren: Gregory, Mark, Matthew, Danielle, Dawn and Marie, great grandchildren: Kyle, Devon, Tyler S, Bree-ella, Jordan, Jake, Caroline, Blaine, Terry and Tyler M, great great grandchildren: Joseph, Keelan, Michael, Natalie, Lennox and Jaxon, sisters: Hazel Harvie and Rosalie Macumber, both of Windsor along with several nieces and nephews.
Juanita is predeceased by first husband Lester Sanford and second husband Belonis Gallant, brothers: Fred Young, Bobby Young and Winton Young in infancy.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A service will be held Wednesday September 11th, at 2pm in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. A private family burial will take place at the Centre Burlington Cemetery followed by a reception at the Summerville Fire Hall. Donations in memory of Juanita can be made to the Centre Burlington Cemetery Fund.
