REIMER - Kenneth Peter, age 71, Beaver Bank.  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Reimer on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in White Settlement, Hants Co., Ken was the son of the late Peter Reimer and the late Ivy “Dolly” Lowe.  He achieved his red seal Electrician ticket in 1973 and after a brief time at Provincial Electric, had a career with Nova Scotia Power, retiring in 2005.  Ken enjoyed keeping busy, whether tinkering in his garage, doing home or vehicle improvements, assisting in the maintenance at Knox United Church or volunteering at Fultz House in Lower Sackville.  Ken will be remembered by his family and friends as someone who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Ken loved it best at his cottage in Walton where he would be found fishing, hunting, having campfires listening to the Golden Oldies, or entertaining family and friends.  After his retirement, Ken and his wife, Jane, enjoyed travelling and vacationing in the US and Europe.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years and the love of his life Jane (Allen), daughter Pam Bradley (Ed McLellan), Stewiacke; son Jeff Reimer (Ashley Czerwinski), Hamilton, ON, and his 4 grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Colin and Liam Bradley and Emma and Ethan Reimer; brother Jerry (Cathy) Reimer, Port Williams; sister Sandra (Ron) Bellefontaine, Lower Sackville;  sister Janet (Allan) McCulloch, England; brother-in-law Peter Allen, Lower Sackville;  and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, sister Wendy Reimer and brother James Reimer.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 29th at 1pm at Knox United Church, 567 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, Rev. Sandra Cox officiating.  Reception to follow in the church hall.  A private family burial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Myeloma Canada, QEII Health Foundation, or Fultz House. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, 4646 Hwy 215, Summerville, ph-1-902-633-2431 or please visit our website at www.allenfh.ca to sign the guest book and send private condolences.
