Obituary of Violet Harvey
Please share a memory of Violet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Harvey, Violet Alberta - 82, Fort Ellis, formally of Noel, waved her last good by on Aug. 9th, 2012 at the Colchester Regional Hospital in Truro.. Violet was born in White Settlement on Nov. 9th 1929 and was the daughter of the late Austin and Loretta ( Eddie ) White. Most of Vi's life she raised her six children but worked several years at Crossley Karistan Carpet Factory in Truro. Our mother's happiest days were spent running her yard sales, buying and selling and the joy of finding an antique she could treasure. Her home always overflowed with her many 'finds'. Mom knew what she wanted and what she didn't want and she wouldn't be long telling you. She was loved by many and we are left with many stories and the memory of her robust laughter. We will miss her every day and we are grateful for all she has given us. Violet is survived by her sons; Larry, Noel; Cyril ( Beatrice ) Elmsdale; Danny ( Tanya ) Gormanville; Peggy ( Larry ) Matthews, Fort Ellis; Rose ( Lowell ) DeLong, Stewiacke; Roxcy ( Dale ) Verge,Nine Mile River; Sister Elsie Chapman, Truro. She was very proud of her 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren she loved them all. Violet was predeceased by her Sister Audrey Laffin, Walton; brothers Milford and Basil White; her nephew Murray Douglas White, White Settlement, two grandchildren in infancy. Cremation has taken place. No service by request. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the local SPCA. Thank you to the palliative care and nursing staff on the fourth floor at the Colchester Regional Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
