Obituary of Sabina Elizabeth Rhodes

RHODES – Sabina Elizabeth “Betty”, age 84, of North River Road, passed away on March 9, 2018 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Lower Ship Harbour on December 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and Viola (Carter) Chalmers. Betty is survived by her children, Norma Brown (Darrell), Gaspereau; Valerie Rhodes (Phillip), Burlington; Starlene Parker (Randy), Ashdale; and Suzanne Parker (Sean), Greenhill; her grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Kendra, Melissa, Stephanie, Ryan, and Brian; numerous great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sylvia Rafuse, Lower Ship Harbour; Darlene Hooten, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Judy Ferry, Florida;  and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Norman, and daughter Darlene June Rhodes. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11 from 7-9pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, with a private graveside service in Riverside Cemetery on Monday, March 12, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating.
