We will all miss Charles’ wit and kindness. I’ll miss the pleasure of helping him with his care while enjoying his Alan Jackson CD “Precious Memories”, and sharing in the joy of singing the hymns with him. I bought the CD and will think of Charles while listening and singing along. We’ll also be missing seeing Charles’ family. He was blessed to have you all in his life, as we were blessed to have had him in ours.

Charles fought the good fight but succumbed in the end. He did so courageously though and was an inspiration to those he knew. One could always expect a call at birthday time with "Hello", "It's your birthday". Those calls are missed. To the family: Sorry to hear your loss of Charles. I understand he was part of your lives right up to the end.

Marcie Davies and Friends posted a condolence
Friday, February 2, 2018
It is sad to have heard of Charles passing, Marcie Davies and friends is composed of (Marcienne Davies, Judy Moore, Patsy Carrol and Dennis Moore. For the past few years Charles was a fixture in the front row at the Magnolia nursing home in Enfield. It was there this very unprofessional group performed their music for the residents of the Magnolia once a month. Charles could be counted on to be there early each time sitting front and centre not only to listen to but participate in each and every performance. He loved music, and showed great respect to those who attempted to offer their voices good, and maybe not so good to the cause of entertainment for the residents. Always saying, that was good, and that he could always be heard singing right along on most of the tune, knowing the words, while we performers always using books to get us through the performance.
Charles will surely be missed as a part of the audience, and for us as a honorary member of Marcie and Friends.

Sharon, Janet, Joanne , Philip and all your family
We were saddened to read of Charlie's passing. We always enjoyed a chance to meet Charlie and have a chat.
We have many fond memories of our Tuesday afternoons visiting with Charlie and the other residents.
Polly Metham, Patsy Carroll and I loved to take along the guitars for a sing song. He loved to be hear his favorites. Polly would always play wearing Charlie's shoes as your Charlie beammed his joyfilled smile!
Our move to Lakelands in 2016 made it not so regular but I continued to enjoyed our annual visit in November.
Charlie was friend to many, including us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family at this sad time.
Christine( McKeen) and Wayne MacAskill

I’m so sorry for your loss. Well for all of our loss really Charles was a people person for sure. I have never met someone that can remember names like he could. I’m going to miss seeing him every day. I’m especially going to miss him asking me when I’m going to be working again and telling me that he’s going to miss me on my days off. Or hearing him call my name all day :(
Words of Charles “Mandy your a lovely lady”
