Obituary of Elizabeth Dorothy Roulston

ROULSTON – Elizabeth “Biz” Dorothy (Hill), age 60, of West Gore, lost her hard-fought battle with cancer on September 25, 2017 at home. Born in West Gore on November 15, 1956, she was a daughter of Aubrey Harvey and the late Maude (Hill) Harvey. Elizabeth was an active member of our community. She contributed over 37 years of volunteer service to the Gore District Volunteer Fire Department, and helped run the Gore District Mixed Dart League for many years. Elizabeth was an avid card player both with family and friends, bowled in the Senior Bowling League in Windsor, and volunteered with the Seniors Group in Centre Rawdon. She was known for her baked goods, and her dishes can be found around the community wherever her baking went. Elizabeth had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. They were her world. Any child that was brought into her life had her devotion and love, blood or not. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 38 years, Norman; their five children, Bobbi-Lee (Colin) McDonald, West Gore; Brenda (Tim Creemer), New Minas; Jamie (Judy MacBurnie), Kennetcook; Robert, West Gore; and Joe (Adriene Ross), Barrington; grandchildren, Hunter and Payton McDonald; step-grandchildren, Sophie, Brex, Emily, Tyrell, Jaxson, and Olivia; father, Aubrey Harvey (Pauline Sanford), Hantsport; sister, Florence (Troy Miller), West Gore; brothers, Alden and Allison, West Gore; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her mother, Elizabeth was predeceased by her grandmother Elizabeth Hannah Hill and Grammy, Edna Harvey. Cremation has taken place; visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26 from 7-9pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook; with a memorial service on Wednesday, September 27 at 6:30pm at West Gore Disciple Church, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating, followed by a reception at Gore District Fire Hall.
