Obituary of June Marie Anthony

ANTHONY - June Marie (Singer), age 71, of Shubenacadie. It with deep sadness that we announce June’s passing on May 26, 2017 at the Colchester East Hants Health Center in Truro from this life to her eternal home after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Born on March 22, 1946 in Noel, NS, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Viola (Webber) Singer. In life, June was an extremely tireless and hard-worker, selfless in her focused care of others.  She had a unique ability to encourage and inspire family, friends and strangers with her words and actions. She is going to be greatly missed, as her life was an integral part of our family.  Even though our sorrow and sense of loss are great, we do not sorrow without hope.  We do take comfort that she is at home with her Savior. June is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Wallace; son, Gregory, of Shubenacadie, NS; daughter, Jennifer and her husband Craig Woodcock of Woodstock, NB;  grandchildren, Carman Anthony, Truro, NS;  Brandon and Alyssa Woodcock of Woodstock, NB; brother, Chesley (John) and his wife Doris of Noel, NS; sister, Nina and her husband Ed Daoust of Halifax, NS; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents, June was predeceased by one sister, Dolly. At June’s request there will be no visitation or funeral.  A private family graveside service will be held at Noel Cemetery, 4992 Hwy 215, Noel, with her son-in-law, Rev. Craig Woodcock officiating. Everyone is invited to attend a reception at noon on Wednesday, May 31 at the Green Hall, 90 Old Hwy 354, North Noel Road.
