Obituary of Christina "Chris" McNeil

McNEIL - Christina "Chris" Marie, age 60, of Halifax. With sad hearts we announce Christina's passing on March 2, 2017 at the VG Hospital, Halifax. Born in Halifax on December 25, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Kathleen "Kay" (Terrio) McNeil. Chris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving family: sons, Shaun, Rawdon; and Troy (Shawna), Upper Kennetcook; daughters, Lisa (Frank), Ontario; Tara (Jay), Antrim; and Pam (Jason), Middleton; grandchildren, Alex and Jordan, Sommer, Autumn and Logan, Ashley and Chase, Becky (Cody), Tylor, Hailey, Emma and Trenton; two great-grandchildren, brothers Darrell (Donna), Kentville and Pat (Heather), Clayton Park; sister-in-law Darlene (Halifax), many nieces and nephews, and special friend Blaine. Besides her parents, Christina was predeceased by her sister Diane and brother Mike. A big thanks from her family to the Palliative Care Team on the 7th Floor VG, and her great friends, Phyllis, Linda, and Cheryl. Cremation has taken place; visitation will be held on Monday, March 6 from 6-9pm with a Celebration of Chris's Life on Tuesday, March 7 at 2pm, both at All Saints Cathedral, 1330 Cathedral Lane, Halifax, Rev. Paul W. Smith officiating, with a reception following the service. Inurnment at St. Alban's columbarium.
