THOMAS - Marie Annette (Galley), age 79, of Windsor, formerly of Cogmagun, passed away on December 30, 2016 at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Bramber on January 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Aleda (Tucker) Galley. Before marriage, Marie worked in the kitchen at Masonic Home, Windsor. After marrying Uhlan, her husband of 57 years, she became a homemaker. Marie loved music, gardening, birdwatching, and cooking. She was a member of the Cogmagun Baptist Church. Marie is survived by daughter Kathy and son Garnet, both of Cogmagun; sister Catherine Taylor and brother Allen Galley, both of Tumbler Ridge, B.C.; sister-in-law Edna Jollymore, Windsor; sister-in-law Mary Thomas, Windsor; brother-in-law Raymond Peach, Falmouth; and several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by husband Uhlan, daughter Colline in infancy, and brother Marven. We would sincerely like to thank Dykeland Lodge for making their "home" Marie's home. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 2pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, with a private interment at Sandy Land Cemetery, Cogmagun.
