Obituary of Mildred O'Toole

O'TOOLE - Mildred Ruby, age 83, of Upper Kennetcook, passed away on November 29, 2016 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Upper Kennetcook on June 17, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Nada (Laffin) Turple. Mildred was an active member of the Liberal Party. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, and going to Bingo, yard sales, and nickel auctions. She was always delighted to receive presents, and loved to dance, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. Mildred is survived by her children, Lois (Darren), Carol (Paul), Leslie (Karen), Ellis (Janet), Lori (Rob), and Crystal; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Dow; a daughter, Donna; two grandchildren, Donavan and Cory; and siblings, Sherwood, Ernest, Tom, Eric, and Rosella. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2 at 2pm at St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Upper Kennetcook, Rev. Angus R.
