I remember one Friday morning I was upstairs cleaning(I always started upstairs and Jim and Mrs M. were downstairs having a squabble about a large sum of money, it seems Jim took it from the register the night before and he forgot where he put it.
I went about my business cleaning the master bedroom and was trying to sweep under Jim's dresser but something kept getting stuck in the vacuum cleaner so finally I moved this giant dresser and low and behold a large wad of money all rolled up.
I put the money in a paper bag, walked down the stairs, handed the bag to Mrs. M and before she even opened it up I turned and started up the stairs, she must have looked in the bag, let out a woop, came running over , grabbed my hands and we began dancing around the house with Jim joining in but having no idea why.
Well when the whole story came out there was close to $1000 in that bag, the money was supposed to g to the bank the day before and Mrs. M was beside herself thinking Jim had lost all that money..
Lets just say there were few dull Fridays in that house
It was an honor and a privilege for me to be trusted to work in the home and the store and I sswill always have very fond memories of my time there.
Thank you Jim and Marguerite.
xoxo

Marguerite and family, I just heard about Jim's death and OF COURSE I am shocked, I am so sorry that I was not there for you all.
I felt like a part of the family for many years while working for you all in the store and the house, we certainly had some good times and hilarious stories mostly at Jim's expense(I don't think he minded at all.
Mrs. M, you have always had a very special place in my heart and I suspect you always will, . If all employers were like you what a wonderful world we would live in.
My sincerest condolences go out to all of you.
If there is ever anything I can do for you please just ask, it will be my pleasure
Again, I have always felt special when I was in your homes and store and I hope you felt it as well.
Love,
your friend for life Faye
xoxo

My memories of Uncle Jim are of his warm and contagious smile. He had a heart of gold that he wore on his sleeve and was one of the most gentle and kindest of souls. May he rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to my Walsh family. XO ~ Carole

Marguerite and family, We are very sorry for your loss. Always enjoyed chatting with Jim! When your family had the store, he was always so friendly and helpful to customers. Jim's horse stories were special, and when we got horses, his knowledge and advice, were greatly appreciated. Our thoughts are with you, Love, Connie and Buddy Rogers

It was truly a privilege to know Jim. He will always be fondly remembered as a fine and gentle man . Jim was known for his gifts of handling and training horses. But it went beyond that. He had a wonderful laid back nature that could put anyone at ease in any situation. His easy going disposition was infectious, and spending time with Jim was always a great break from a hectic world. Our heartfelt condolences to Marguerite and the Family, Gary and Karen
