Obituary of Ethel Moore

MOORE - Ethel Belinda (White), age 68, of Bedford. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ethel on June 8, 2016 at the Centennial Building, VG Hospital, Halifax, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in North Noel Road on February 25, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Letisha (White) White. Ethel enjoyed making beautiful quilts with her sister Phyllis and special friend Doreen. She loved to play darts and took part in a league for many years. Ethel was especially close to her granddaughter Kristie and great-grandchildren Avah-Lynne and Alexzander. She had many special people in her life, especially Lori, Doreen, and Rita. Ethel will be dearly missed by everyone, as she was a very selfless woman who always put others first. Special thanks to daughter-in-law Wanda for all your care during our time of need. Ethel is survived by her husband, Arthur; son, Trent (Wanda); daughter-in-law, Susie; grandchildren, Kristie (Ryan), TJ, Devon, Cameron, and Bryanna; great-grandchildren, Avah-Lynne and Alexzander; brothers, Wilmot (Adreu), Joseph (Cathy), Willis (Erma), Andy, Gerald, and Allister (Winnie); sisters, Isabel, Phyllis, and Donna; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Ethel was predeceased by her son, Albert; sisters, Lucy, Laura, Wanetta, and Bertha; and brothers, Howard, Keith, Laurie, and Elmer. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 2pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating, with a private family committal at St. James Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Noel Road. Family flowers only; in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the 7A Palliative Care Unit at the Centennial Building, VG Hospital.
