BROWN, Charlotte Alice (Sanford), age 76, "The Villa", Kendall Lane, Curry's Corner, formerly of Cogmagun, Hants Co., passed away on September 7, 2015 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor with family at her side. Born in Cogmagun on January 11, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Shaw) Sanford. She was an avid reader, a sports fan (loved her Blue Jays!), and enjoyed a good board game (with Scott). Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Charlotte-Ann (Wayne) Ettinger, Kempt Shore; and Carolyn (Curtis) Kimball, Curry's Corner; sons, Skyler Sanford, Cogmagun; Scott (Teresa) Sanford, Three Mile Plains; Adam (Torra) Brown, Morinville, Alta.; and Aaron Brown, Cogmagun; goddaughters, Brenda (Raymond) Pemberton, Windsor; and Elizabeth (Willie) Rondhuis, Union Corner; sisters, Rita Porter, Ardoise; and Lorna (Gord) Smith LeBlanc, Moncton, N.B.; brothers, Milton (Linda) Sanford, Center Burlington; Grant (Eileen) Sanford, Center Burlington; and Emmerson (Diane) Sanford, Ellershouse; aunt, Alice Bond, Rawdon Gold Mines. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Percy Brown; sister, Lillian Power; and brother, Leslie Sanford. Our family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and home care staff that made our mother's last days as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Cremation has taken place, with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25 at 2pm at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, followed by a reception at the Center Burlington Hall. Private family interment at Sandy Land Cemetery, Cogmagun. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlotte may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Sandy Land Cemetery, or a charity of one's choice.
