Campbell, Christopher Derrick, age 52, of Greenfield, Hants Co. - We are saddened to announce that Chris passed away on March 15, 2015 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, losing his battle with cancer. Born in Windsor on April 29, 1962, he was the eldest son of Helen (Sanford) and the late Claude Campbell. Chris grew up in Rawdon, attending Rawdon Elementary and Hants North High School. He was an avid sports fan, who especially enjoyed watching the Toronto Maple Leafs. A carpenter by trade, he worked with various companies building private homes and apartment buildings, including his and Judy's home in Greenfield, which was a source of pride for them both. They enjoyed 26 years together with their families. Chris's closest companion for the past 16.5 years was Nikia, his dog, who passed away in October 2014. Chris cherished his friends and family near and far. He had an incredible will to live. Chris's family wish to thank all the doctors and nurses who contributed to his care. Chris and Judy appreciated the visits from friends and family at home and in the hospital. Chris is survived by his wife, Judy; mother, Helen; brother, Duncan (Lisa) and nephews Kyle and Eric; sons, Christopher, Andrew, and Matthew (Rebecca); stepsons Travis (Amanda) and Glen (Stephanie), Newfoundland; stepdaughter Tracy; grandsons Braydan, Carter, Andrew, and Stephen; granddaughters Courtney, Caitlin, Tarryn, and Shawna; mother-in-law Violet Hunt, Grand Bank, NFLD; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
