Donnie was born in Cheverie, Hants County, on October 7, 1948 to Donald Arthur and the late Joyce Marie (Weatherbee) Ross. Donnie attended school in Kempt until he started junior high at Hants West Rural High School. In grade eight Mr. Riley introduced Donnie to drafting and his life-long vocation was born. In 1974 Donnie married Leona McLaughlin and they had one child, David Alyre Ross. They built their home in Gore, Hants County and, as many of you know, Donnie was always puttering and working on one project or another until he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2014.Donnie passed over at home on March 8, 2015 with his family at his side.
