Catherine Mae White, age 92, of North Noel Road, passed away on February 23, 2014 in Brookfield with her family by her side. Born on March 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Manson and Christina (Dalrymple) White. She is survived by her son Albert (Paulette), Lower Sackville; daughters Doris (Laurence) Ettinger, North Noel Road, Mary Lou (Grant) Eldridge, Upper Kennetcook, and Kathy Gillis, Lower Sackville; grandchildren Charlie (Elizabeth), Annette (Ian) and Ross (Glenda) White; Ricky (Darlene), Greg (Vennetta) and Julie (Curtis) Ettinger; David (Cheryl) and Douglas (Tanya) Eldridge; Melanie White; Rob (Lisa), Mike (Jami) and Lisa (Lloyd) Gillis; son-in-law Michael Gillis; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary (Gordon) Moore, Bible Hill; brother Gilbert (Shirley) White, Bible Hill; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Melbourne "Bun" White, sons Gary and Arden, granddaughter Lisa Dawn Ettinger, brothers Gordon and Ernest, of White Settlement, and sister Agnes Wright of Apohaqui, NB. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 7-9pm with a memorial service on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10am,both held at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, 6571 Hwy 354, Kennetcook, with Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul's United Church Cemetery, North Noel Road. A reception will follow at the Green Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory made be made to St. Paul's United Church or charity of one's choice.
