Obituary of Stanley Mackenzie

Stanley John MacKenzie, 85, Cogmagun, passed away in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, on April 21, 2025. Born Jan. 29, 1940, in Cogmagun, he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Reynolds) MacKenzie. Stanley lived most of his life in and around Cogmagun working as a truck driver, he also did farming and worked for Maritime builders. Most of Stanley's enjoyment came from farming and visits from people who would often drop in. He was also a lover of country music. Stanley is survived by sister Florence Thomas, British Columbia and many nieces, nephews and great friends. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by sisters Helen and Doris, brothers Cecil, Clarence, Robert, Allen, Donnie and Chester in infancy. The family would like to thank the staff at Dykeland Lodge for their care and compassion, also a special thank you to Kim and Randy Latter for their dedicated care shown towards Stanley. Cremation has taken place, a graveside service will be held in Sandyland Cemetery, Cogmagun on May 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. Rev. Mike Poworoznyk officiating. Donations can be made to Sandyland Cemetery.
